dHealth Network

Participate in the Future of Healthcare Blockchain through Masternodes

After the financial sector, healthcare is perfectly positioned to be the next area of adoption for blockchain technology due to its fragmentation, legion of intermediaries, and inefficient processes. Currently, blockchain-based healthcare applications rely on public chains that have serious performance problems or on consortium chains that lack native currencies for transactions and offer limited transparency and trust.
The dHealth Network offers a solution optimized for healthcare-related transactions based on a network of Masternodes (MN). It is designed for scalability and openness. Decentralization is essential for the network and MN are the guarantors for it. The public dHealth Network is the first domain-specific blockchain based on open source NEM technology. The dHealth Network will launch in Q4 2020 with a limited number of MN operated by partners that share the dHealth Foundation’s vision of an equitable healthcare system.

dHealth Masternodes

A maximum of 100 dHealth MN secure the dHealth Network. The MN are spread out geographically to provide network stability. MN contain a full copy of the blockchain, participate in the proof-of-stake consensus mechanism, and function as access nodes (API gateway).
MN, i.e. their operators are the only entities that can create alternative tokens for blockchain-based applications that run on the dHealth Network. In addition, they have voting rights according to their importance. The importance is determined by the number of tokens that are contained in the MN for delegated staking by individuals users.
The technical requirements for running an MN for a Peer Node are 8 CPUs, 16 GB RAM, scalable disk storage and for an API Gateway 16 CPUs, 32 GB RAM, scalable disk storage.

Digital Health Points

The native currency of the network is the Digital Heath Point (DHP). DHP is a token compliant with the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) regulations for crypto-currencies. The DHP will be exposed to market volatility once it can be sold and bought on the crypto-exchanges.
Transaction fees on the dHealth Network have to be paid in DHP. A total of 2 billion (2’000’000’000) DHP was created to facilitate transactions. Half of it will be locked and released as staking rewards over a time period of 10 years and distributed to MN.

Staking Rewards

Rewards as well as transaction fees will be allocated according to the importance of the MN. Inflation will be caused by the gradual release of the DHP reserved for the staking reward. MN have to distribute the rewards to those wallets that have delegated their funds to the MN for staking, however, MN operators can ask for a levy from those wallets. The staking model promotes that a substantial amount of DHP will be locked in MN accounts.

Benefits

In exchange for securing the network, the MN operators gain special rights such as creating their own network tokens, direct access to the blockchain for applications, voting rights on the use of the community fund as well as the future developments of the network. If they allow delegated staking the operators can raise a levy in the form of DHP for it.
